Terms of Service

Last updated: August 30, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Monitorecho website, cloud platform, or downloadable binary ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Monitorecho provides a lightweight, multi-tenant observability and status page platform. The Service allows users to monitor HTTP endpoints, database connections, and SSL certificates, and communicate uptime to their end-users.

3. Multi-Tenant Responsibilities

If you utilize Monitorecho to host status pages for third parties (multi-tenancy), you agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for the content, incident reports, and data displayed on your tenants' status pages.
  • You will not use the Service to monitor endpoints you do not own or have explicit authorization to test.
  • You are responsible for managing the subscribers and communication preferences of your individual tenants.

4. Use License & Self-Hosting

For users deploying the self-hosted Monitorecho binary:

  • You are granted a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to deploy the binary on your own infrastructure in accordance with your chosen pricing tier.
  • You may not decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the proprietary binary unless explicitly permitted by an open-source license variant.

5. Service Level Agreement (SLA)

While we strive for 99.999% uptime for our hosted cloud platform, the Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Monitorecho shall not be liable for any downtime, missed alerts, or data loss that occurs due to network interruptions, third-party provider failures, or misconfiguration of the software.

6. Account Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Monitorecho, nor its directors, employees, partners, or agents, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.
